Help for OOrganizer version 1.0
Read README.txt of the new version before you update to a new version !
OOrganizer is an report and info organizer for OGame. It's basic feature is to let you view and edit a few different plain text files
at the same time.
Other features are a search function and a summarize function for battle reports from raiding. I find summarize very usefull
as it gives you an overview of how your raiding is doing and it's easy to check that you don't bash someone.
The main feature of the program is to store info about your planets and fleet in an easy to view way and calculate production and energy consumption for each planet as well as total production and total worth of fleets, buildings and defenses.
The program is written in Visual Basic .Net 2003 and should work with a newer version of Windows, as a not to old version of the .Net
framework is needed.
New in this version:
Moon buildings added and some minor changes, like tab indexes.
This should hopefully be an easy program to use so the easiest way to learn how it works probably is to click aruond a little...
though here are a few tips and warnings:
# To summarize a battle report from a raid: Copy the complete battle report into the textbox (in Raid reports) and click "Summarize raid" report.
The summarized report will be displayed ( it will only include losses if you actually had some ). Now you can edit the text report if you wish to,
then click "Add to files" to add the summarized and edited raid report to the top of the document summarized raid reports.
Observe that the complete battle report will be added to raid reports.
If Fleet crushing is checked the debris field created will be incuded in the summary.
A separator will be included if First raid of day is checked.
# Empire:
Insert the info you want to keep and press "Save". Todays date is optional, but needed if you want to display old info through the search function.
Todays date doesn't actualy need to be a date but can be any kind of memo for you to find the info later.
Don't forget to click save before you switch to another planet if you have done some changes!
You can change the names of the planet buttons if you click "Settings".
The production calculations should be fairly correct, but some round of errors might occur. Though please note that it will show max production for
different levels of buildings and will not decrease production due to energy shortage!
You need to insert max temp to get all calculations working.
The production time is 1 hour as default, but you can change that to calculate your production in 24h ect. Note that you can write 1,5
but not 1.5 .
Overview will show a summary of your ships, your total production and total worth of fleets, buildings and defenses. This can be usefull to check where you have your points, but note that technologies isn't included yet (as of v0.9) !
# The different documents are intended as follows: raid reports - for battle reports from raids only,
summarized raid reports - for summarized raid reports , attacked - for battle reports when you got attacked or spyed on,
espionage - all your espionage reports the you bother to save , planet info - one espionage report (the best) for each interesting planet ,
messages - guess.. , statistics- to store your and others rank ,
buidings and fleet info - this isn't a normal document anymore, but now it should be quite much better at displaying and storing
info about your buildings, fleets, defenses and production.
# Dont forget to click "Edit file" if you want your changes in the document saved. Though there is an option in settings to auto save when
you switch to another file. When that setting is checked you actually have to click "Undo changes" to not get them saved !
# Don't move the text files, they have to be in the same folder as the program file (the .exe file)
# Don't change filename of the textfiles. Original names are: summarized_raid_reports.txt , raid_reports.txt , attacked.txt ,
espionage.txt , planet_info.txt , messages.txt , statistics.txt ,and instructions.txt .
# The .OOG files actually are .txt files, but the different settings are saved in them. Edit at your own risk, though you might want to clean
them manually when you used the program for a long time. New files are added in top of the documents.
# You shouldn't insert any text below "$$$$$$END$OF$FILE$$$$$$" as it wont be searchable then.
