This is a computer font, or, more correctly, a type family with two styles, regular and bold, which I have created. It is based on the font used in an old Basic manual for the Spectravideo computer. For this reason I have called it SV Basic Manual, though the original typeface used in the manual of course has another name, unknown to me. (The manual seems to have been written with an electronic typewriter.)
The typefaces has a quite a few accented characters but at the moment they lack some other signs, e.g. ae-ligatures, thorn, eth, c with cedilla etc. Perhaps these will be included in the future, if there are enough requests for that. This is a sample of the two styles:

I would describe it as a fairly elegant, somewhat strict but at the same time friendly sans-serif monospace type family. Its intended size is 12 pt, to make it identical to the font used in the manual, though of course it can be used in any size you want.

These typefaces (fonts) may be used freely for personal purposes. If you want to use them in a commercial product, like for example in a computer game or application or in a book or other printed matter, or include it in a freeware/shareware compilation, you may only do so provided that you in turn provide me with a free copy of the final product.

I have searched for computer fonts similar in design to SV Basic Manual, but have not come up with much. The closest I've got is FF Magda, which has a pretty similar design, though it also differs on many points.
SV Basic Manual was created using the program FontForge.
